Award winning Aberystwyth Arts Centre is Wales’ largest arts centre and recognised as a 'national flagship for the arts'. It has a wide-ranging artistic programme, both producing and presenting, across all art forms including drama, dance, music, visual arts, applied arts, film, new media, and community arts and is recognised as a national centre for arts development. Aberystwyth Arts Centre is a department of Aberystwyth University and a member of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA) is Falmouth University’s Campus based live arts venue, which co-exists as an academic faculty housing 8 Undergraduate degree courses in Music, Dance & Theatre. Alongside the work produced by students, AMATA presents a programme of professional work that features a diverse range of high quality, contemporary theatre, dance, music, comedy, and work for children and family audiences, alongside weekly Saturday classes for young people, summer schools, events and workshops led by visiting artists. read more


In 2018, the University of Exeter launched a new Arts and Culture Strategy, to be delivered through a programme of activity that places creativity at the heart of all we think, imagine and do together. The University has four campuses, two in Exeter and two in Cornwall. The Streatham campus, Exeter, hosts the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum and the Northcott Theatre. ‘Creative Exchange’ is an artist residency studio/small gallery at the Penryn campus, Cornwall. read more

Derby Theatre (previously Derby Playhouse) has a long and rich history of delivering high quality drama to audiences. Through Derby Theatre's unique partnership with the University of Derby, and as an Arts Council England National Portfolio organisation, the theatre has transformed from a traditional producing house, to an organisation of training, mentorship and artistic excellence. read more
